Dear Justice Campaign Member
News just in from Wales regarding the 10% Commission. The hundreds of people who came to London to campaign and thousands more who voted for a change in the 10% Commission Charge will be pleased to hear that our friends and fellow park home residents across the border have received some encouraging news.
AS I HAVE SAID BELOW, LET'S HOPE THAT OUR WESTMINSTER GOVERNMENT DELIVERS THIS KIND OF NEWS - OR SOMETHING EVEN BETTER. WE HAVE ALL CAMPAIGNED TIRELESSLY FOR A CHANGE IN THE 10% COMMISSION CHARGE AND OF COURSE A CHANGE FROM RPI TO CPI INCREASE TO OUR PITCH FEES. We still have to await the outcome - but I hope Government will listen to all that you have fought for and do the right thing.
IF NOT - THE PROBLEM WILL NOT GO AWAY.
For the Justice Campaign Members who reside in England; please forward this email to your own constituency MP as soon as possible. It is not fair that park home residents in England should be treated differently. The Pitch Fees of our friends in Wales increase by CPI. Now their Government appears to be acting on the 10% Commission Charge.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. WE WANT CPI INSTEAD OF RPI - AND WE WANT A CHANGE TO THE 10% COMMISSION CHARGE THAT TRAPS US IN OUR HOMES.
Well done WALES and all their Residents who campaigned. Let us Hope that all those who were part of our Three Nations 10% Campaign in England receive this kind of news - or something better - from our Government.
Letter I have received from Wales
In Wales we appear to be a step closer to reducing the commission rate, our new Minister Rebecca Evans promises a reduction but is very vague as to the exact figure.
Best wishes from us all.
( I have redacted the name and address of the sender and the park to protect them against any possible threat or retribution.)
WRITTEN STATEMENT BY THE WELSH GOVERNMENT
Publication of Summary of Responses to Consultation: The Park Home Commission Rate
24 May 2018
Rebecca Evans AM, Minister for Housing and Regeneration
I am pleased to announce the publication of the summary of responses to the consultation on the commission rate payable on the sale of a park home. I have also published the independent review of financial information from site owners.
There is a clear and consistent divide between the views of residents and park owners, with most residents supporting the reduction or abolition of the commission paid, whilst all site owners wish to see it retained at the current maximum rate of 10%.
The summary outlines the next steps following this extensive exercise. Following consideration of the views and evidence presented, I am setting out my intention to begin a phased reduction of the commission rate over a period of time.
I also intend to take forward a range of proposals designed to support good management in the sector and to ensure that those buying and selling park homes have access to clear, consistent information to support their decision making.
I will make an oral statement in due course.
The summary of responses and financial review are available here: https://beta.gov.wales/park-homes-commission-rate

Update on My Stolen Home
This has still not been found and I don`t think it will be - but I would like to thank all those who have sent donations to me.
I have been able to send individual thank you letters to those who have sent via Mr. Tony Turner of the Park Homes Policy Forum (and I thank him most sincerely for acting as a conduit.) Tony has been a good friend who has done much to try to help me. Sadly, I do not know the names of the people who donated to the Leasehold Knowledge Partnership - but if it was you, please know that I send my heartfelt thanks. Without, Tony, Leasehold Knowledge and Paul Baker who put up the 1000 reward for information, I would have been left completely alone and without help. I am so very grateful to these true friends and the park home residents who have since emailed me with messages of support.
My home (that I had purchased second hand) had cost 30,000 pounds and a further 10.000 to lay out the ground where it was to be placed (which was not on a park due to threats I received for not abandoning the Justice Campaign.) Because of your generosity I have received 14,582 pounds which is almost half of the cost of the home and I am truly grateful to each and everyone of you who has helped me. I am still moving around and in temporary accommodation until I can find a forever home. One day I hope to be able to say that I have a home.
I have thought long and hard about publishing this as those who did this to me will no doubt be very pleased with themselves - but they have not won, because our JUSTICE Campaign is still here and it will be until the fat lady has sung.
Best Wishes and I hope you all have a good Summer,
