If you want to be better informed about park home legislation, if you need good advice or help, if you have any questions that need to be answered or disputes that need to be resolved then this event if for you - and it's free to attend.
The park home road show is coming your way, it is the first such event for a number of years but they have always proved to be well attended, informative and enjoyable.
There will be a panel of four expert speakers who will speak up to 10 minutes. This will be followed by a question & answer session which will take up the majority of the meeting. There may be an opportunity for individual consultations with the speakers at the end.
The event will not be recorded.
Sam Mayer is currently a partner and head of litigation with Henriques Griffiths LLP. He has nearly twenty years experience in litigation, initially in crime and then in general civil litigation, including commercial disputes, residential landlord and tenant, contentious probate and property disputes. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 and since this time has been involved in representing park home occupiers in disputes ranging from pitch fee review to misrepresentation, disputes relating to site rules and sale blocking. He also contributes regularly on legal issues in the Park Home News magazine.
Sonia Mccoll is the founder of the Park Homes JUSTICE Campaign and a former park home resident. She was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to the park home community. Sonia is currently campaigning to get the 10% commission paid to site owners when a home is sold reviewed, and for pitch fee increases to be linked to the Consumer Price Index rather than the higher Retail Price Index.
Ian Pye took on the leadership of IPHAS, the Independent Park Home Advisory Service, in July 2020 following the retirement of the previous leadership team. He was founder and Chair of the Residents’ Association on the park where he lived for 10 years. IPHAS is an independent park home resident’s association offering help and advice to park home residents, membership costs just £6 a year.
Paul Baker is the Managing Director of Paul Baker Insurance Services, a leading provider of park home insurance. He has worked in the sector for more than 20 years and during that time has actively supported the park home JUSTICE Campaign, sponsors the voluntary PARKHELPLINE, previously sponsored IPHAS and has run a number of road shows over the years.
The event is on Thursday 28TH October at Cobham Village Hall, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 2LU
It will commence at 2.00pm, doors will open at 1.00pm, it will finish at 4.00pm.
There is some car parking at the venue, tea and coffee will be available on arrival.
